Oh Boy, it's been a minute + 7 ways to say No without saying No.

It’s been a long time since I’ve written a post here, but we’ve had the most exciting news — we had a baby boy! And boy has our life changed. We are so in love and living our best life!

In our world as agents we are so busy with our schedules making sure we’re following the contract timelines, to working on our business, our spheres, websites, social media, and taking time off, which is the hardest thing for me to do. Maybe you too? Especially now with our son, my time is so precious. I want to do it all still: run this amazing company with agents I care deeply for, work with friends on helping them buy and sell, spend quality time with my husband, have coffee dates with friends, attend my BSF Bible study, and my most precious — spending all the time I can with my new baby boy! With all these things that are so important to me managing my time is a must. And sometimes the best way to do that is to say no.

The difference between successful people and very successful people is that very successful people say no to almost everything. — Warren Buffett

Here are 7 ways to say no without saying no:

  1. That sounds like it will be so much fun. I’d normally love to join you, but I’m overcommitted right now. Thanks for thinking of me though.

  2. That sounds really great. Unfortunately, I have several other tasks that I’m committed to right now, so I can’t make that work at this time.

  3. Oh man, I’d love to help, but that’s not a good day for us. Perhaps next time.

  4. That falls on family night. Another time for sure though!

  5. I’m booked at that time, but it’s super important for me to show you that listing. Will ______ work for you?

  6. That sounds like a great idea. I don’t have room for anything else this quarter, but let’s definitely discuss it again next quarter.

  7. Oh goodness, I can’t carve out any time for that like right now, but I wish you great success at the event. Thanks for thinking of me.

There you go!

Hopefully, these ideas will help you protect your precious time. Remember, saying yes when it doesn’t really work for you, means you’re saying NO to what’s really important to you.
